Terms of Service

These terms govern use of Noor (com.noorfaith.app) and https://noorfaith.com for version 1.0. The public website is operated by NurTech LLC, a Pennsylvania company, and is hosted as static files on Cloudflare Pages.

1. Acceptance of terms

By using Noor’s website or mobile application, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Noor.

2. Description of Noor

Noor is a free educational product for learning about Islam — including Tawheed, the Quran, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Peace Be Upon Him), practice guides, and related learning paths. Version 1.0 is a mobile app with optional account sync for lesson progress and bookmarks, plus this informational website. Community features, private messaging, and chat are disabled in version 1.0. Remote FCM/APNs notifications are not active in version 1.0.

3. Educational and religious-information disclaimer

Noor is an educational resource. It aims to present Islamic knowledge carefully, with reference to the Quran, authentic Sunnah, and clear sourcing where available. It is not a substitute for qualified scholars when you need an individual religious ruling (fatwa), pastoral counsel, or personalized guidance.

If you believe content is inaccurate, incomplete, or unclear, please report it through Support or email developer@nurtechllc.com so it can be reviewed.

4. Accounts and account security

You may use much of Noor without an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Use a strong password and request a reset if you suspect unauthorized access.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Noor for unlawful purposes
• Attempt to access another person’s account or data
• Disrupt, overload, or abuse the service or its infrastructure
• Reverse-engineer the apps except where applicable law expressly permits
• Redistribute proprietary packaging of the app or paid third-party media beyond what those licenses allow

6. Intellectual property

Noor branding, site design, and original educational materials are owned by the Noor project or its licensors. Quran text, translations, fonts, and audio may come from third-party sources under their own licenses; see in-app attributions where provided.

7. User-provided information

Account email and optional name metadata are used for authentication and profile display. Lesson progress and bookmarks you sync are stored to provide the sync feature. Local notes and similar device-only content remain on your device in version 1.0 and are your responsibility.

8. Third-party content and links

Noor may link to external websites or fetch third-party educational / Quran resources. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. Noor is not responsible for third-party sites or content outside its control.

9. Availability and changes

Noor may change, pause, or discontinue features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Version 1.0 intentionally ships with Community disabled. Store availability of the mobile app will be stated only when listings are actually published.

10. Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, compromise security, or violate these terms. You may stop using Noor at any time and may delete your account as described below.

11. Account deletion

You may permanently delete your account through the mobile app. Deletion removes the Auth account and synced lesson progress and bookmarks. Details: Account deletion.

12. Disclaimers

Noor is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Educational content may contain errors despite careful effort.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Noor and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of amounts you paid to Noor for the service in the prior 12 months (if any) or zero for the free service.

14. Governing law

A governing-law venue has not been separately recorded beyond the fact that NurTech LLC is a Pennsylvania company. Until a venue is recorded, this section is intentionally incomplete.

15. Changes to the terms

We may update these terms. The effective and last-updated dates will change when we do. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms where permitted by law.
